Episode One: Introduction

Laurel (aka The Loracular) introduces herself, her history with the occult, and presents what Tarot Esoterica is and isn't going to be about. 

Episode Two: Polarity & Duality

The occult philosophies of Yingyang and the Hermetic Law of Polarity are presented with examples in the Major Arcana.  

 

Episode Three: Triadic Modality

Explains what trinaries and triadic modality are and how they are expressed in Western alchemy, astrology, and esoteric tarot.  Introduces the Sefer Yetzirah and some Qabalistic concepts.  

Episode Four: Introducing The Four Classic Elements

Building on Episode Four, this episode integrates Chinese yinyang, Western alchemy, and astrology to describe Fire, Water, Air, and Earth.  Laurel explains how all of this shapes what she associates with the four Minor Arcana suits. 

Episode Five: Introducing The Qabalistic Four Worlds

This episode takes the classic four elements and associates them with the Tetragrammaton and the Qabalistic four worlds.  A helpful diagram of a simple Kircher Tree of Life Glyph depicting the Four Worlds as described in this episode has been added to the Tarot Esoterica webpage. 

Episode Six: The Court Cards & The MBTI PersonalityTypes

This week, Laurel talks about the binary/elemental methodology she uses, inspired by Linda Gail Walters, to associate the Court Cards with the MBTI personalities.  She also links each Court Card with a conventional MBTI archetype name and provides some associative traits. 

Episode Seven: The Kircher Tree of Life

This episode introduces the most conventional Tree of Life glyph and touches base on each of the ten sefirot by astrology, numerology, and tarot pip cards.  

Episode Eight: Éliphas Lévi & His Doctrine of High Magick

Laurel gives some brief historical information about Éliphas Lévi and his most famous text Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie best known in English as Doctrine & Ritual of High Magic or Transcendental Magic.  This sets the stage for going through this text chapter by chapter with a focus on a related Major Arcana card.

Laurel goes through Chapter One of Éliphas Lévi's Doctrine of High Magic, discussing his views of The Magician as a tarot card and occult practitioner.

Laurel talks about Chapter 2 of The Doctrine & Ritual of High Magic by Eliphas Levi and his vision for The High Priestess tarot card.
